Has the
collection been appraised? Yes, and you can read more by clicking Appraisal How many
images are framed? With the
exception of certain images, the entire collection is professionally
framed. In a few instances, the frames are an integral part of the
art. What about
shipping & handling? The winning bidder will pay the shipping & handling charges. The method of shipping will be negotiated with the winning bidder since it will be virtually impossible to quote a price until the location and desires of the winning bidder are known. The winning bidder may wish to have the image shipped in the frame or have it removed, thus altering the shipping cost. An international buyer will require professional crating. Regardless of the shipping method required, EditionQ will not add on a separate handling charge from that of the shipper, so the winning bidder will only be responsible for actual shipping & handling costs. What about
insurance? The winning bidder will pay for any insurance necessary to cover the insurance replacement value of the images. This will be negotiated with the winning bidder.
What about payment?
The winning bidder and the owner of the images will use a mutually agreed upon escrow service, such as escrow.com, to act as a trusted third party that collects, holds and disburses funds according to buyer and seller instructions until the buyer receives and inspects the collection. The escrow service must receive payment within 10 business days. PayPal will not be accepted.
What about taxes?
The buyer will be responsible for all applicable taxes, customs and import fees. If the buyer resides in the State of California, they will be required to pay state taxes. Where is
the collection located? In Why is the
owner selling? The owner
feels it is time for the collection to find a new home and allow someone
else to enjoy these magnificent photographs. Why is the
owner using an online auction instead of a professional auction house or
art gallery? The
marketing and buying of fine art has undergone a substantial reexamination
in recent years. The rules
have changed. Using a trusted
online auction service such as eBay exposes this collection to an
international audience that more traditional venues
cannot. Would the
seller consider selling individual
pieces? Yes, individual pieces are now being offered on eBay, and the entire will be posted within the next few months. Are the
images all originals? Yes, and
with the exception of a few minor pieces which were gifts to the owner,
all have documentation as well as the professional appraisal to
substantiate their authenticity. Are the
images signed? What are the
image sizes? All pertinent details are available by going to Images pages Would I be
able to view the images in person before
bidding? Serious
bidders may contact EditionQ.com by using the eBay message system on the
EditionQ listing page ("Ask seller a question") or by emailing editionq@aol.com to discuss
this. Please keep in mind
that we cannot extend the auction nor cancel the auction once it has
posted on eBay, so travel arrangements to Seattle would need to be
rather immediate and before the closing of the
auction. Would I be
able to speak with the owner? Serious
bidders may contact EditionQ using the eBay message system on the EditionQ
listing page ("Ask seller a question") or by emailing editionq@aol.com to discuss
this.
